Abstract: Digital transformation is increasingly shaping the capacity of industrial enterprises to generate, implement, and commercialize innovations. This thesis examines the effectiveness of digital technologies as a mechanism for increasing innovation activity in industrial enterprises, with particular attention to data-driven management, industrial automation, cloud services, the Internet of Things, and digital platforms. The study uses a conceptual and analytical approach based on the synthesis of economic and management literature and a comparative assessment of technology-related performance indicators. A structured framework is proposed in which digital technology affects innovation activity through four interconnected channels: reduction of information and transaction costs, acceleration of product and process development, improvement of resource allocation, and expansion of collaboration networks. The analysis indicates that the economic effect of digitalization depends not only on technology adoption but also on organizational readiness, employee competencies, data quality, investment discipline, and the integration of digital tools into innovation management. The proposed indicators and analytical model can be used by industrial enterprises to evaluate the contribution of digital technologies to innovation activity and to identify priority areas for digital investment.
