This article considers the technological feasibility of
producing a complex nitrogen-phosphorus-magnesium fertilizer based on
unpurified wet-process phosphoric acid (WPA) using the ammoniation method.
The main chemical transformations during the interaction of phosphoric acid
with ammonia, the effect of the neutralization degree and pH on the phosphate
system composition, as well as the role of magnesium in forming the final
product are analyzed. It is demonstrated that impurities in wet-process
phosphoric acid, including magnesium, iron, aluminum, and calcium
compounds, as well as fluorine-containing components, can significantly affect
solubility, viscosity, and the formation of insoluble phases. Based on literature
data, a research methodology is proposed, including WPA preparation,
ammoniation, pH adjustment, introduction of a magnesium-containing
component, phase separation, product drying, and analytical control of the N,
P2O5, and Mg contents. This work can serve as a basis for laboratory research
and subsequent optimization of the operating parameters.
