Abstract

This scientific-methodical article analyzes the stages, methodological foundations, and effective methods of forming English reading skills in senior grade students of secondary schools. The article covers the types of reading skills, stages of their development, methods appropriate to students' age characteristics, and the use of modern pedagogical technologies. Additionally, the article presents assessment criteria for reading skills and effectiveness indicators.
