THE CURRENT STATE AND PROSPECTS OF JUDO DEVELOPMENT IN UZBEKISTAN

Abstract

Abstract: This paper examines the current state and future prospects of judo development in Uzbekistan. Over the past decade, Uzbekistan has achieved significant international results in judo, including Olympic and World Championship medals. However, despite elite-level successes, the youth training system still faces considerable methodological and infrastructural challenges. Through comparative analysis of national training programs in Uzbekistan, Japan, and France, along with a review of relevant scientific literature, this study identifies the key strengths and weaknesses of the Uzbek judo development model. The paper highlights critical gaps in motor performance evaluation, individualized training approaches, and technological monitoring. Strategic recommendations are proposed for modernizing the national youth judo system by integrating best practices from leading judo nations, adapted to Uzbekistan's unique sporting and cultural context. The findings contribute to both the academic understanding of youth combat sports development and the practical advancement of judo policy in Uzbekistan.
