DEVELOPING SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS’ COMPETENCE IN USING COMMUNICATIVE STRATEGIES IN ENGLISH

Abstract

Foreign language communication success depends on speakers who understand vocabulary and grammar rules and can handle any communication obstacles. Students at secondary schools face difficulties because they forget specific words and struggle to understand others and fail to express their thoughts correctly. Learners can continue their dialogue while delivering their planned message through communicative strategies which prove helpful when such situations arise. The research paper investigates how teachers can develop secondary school students to use English communicative strategies through their teaching approach.
