DEVELOPING STUDENTS’ LINGUACOMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE THROUGH DESIGN THINKING IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE EDUCATION

This study explores the role of Design Thinking in
developing students’ linguacommunicative competence in English language
education. This article examines the theoretical relationship between Design
Thinking and linguacommunicative competence and presents a classroom
implementation model involving university students. The findings indicate that
Design Thinking enhances students’ speaking confidence, collaborative
communication, creativity, intercultural awareness, and problem-solving skills.
The study concludes that integrating Design Thinking into English language
instruction promotes active learning and supports the development of
communicative competence required in higher education.
