Abstract

This paper compares classical and contemporary perspectives on 
the development of social frustration among university students. Motivational, 
cognitive, emotional and socio-psychological mechanisms are distinguished 
and systematized. Social frustration is differentiated from academic frustration, 
and the limits of the theoretical analysis are specified.
