Abstract

Contemporary trends in educational development require leaders of educational institutions not only to possess a high level of professional expertise but also well-developed leadership qualities. Effective management of an educational organization is impossible without the ability to make strategic decisions, motivate staff, and ensure sustainable institutional development. This article examines strategic mechanisms for developing leadership competencies in educational organizations. Particular attention is paid to the role of strategic planning, professional staff development, mentoring, organizational culture, and performance evaluation systems. The study concludes that the development of leadership competencies should become an integral component of strategic management in educational institutions.
