This article examines the history of Bukhara’s craftsmanship based on historical sources and scholarly literature. Bukhara has long been recognized as one of the major centers of traditional crafts in Central Asia, where pottery, jewelry making, coppersmithing, weaving, embroidery, and other handicrafts flourished. The study highlights the role of craftsmanship in the economic, social, and cultural life of society, its development in connection with the Great Silk Road, and its significance as an important element of national cultural heritage. The article also discusses contemporary approaches to preserving and promoting Bukhara’s traditional craft traditions.
