This article explores the methodological foundations of a modern foreign language lesson and emphasizes the importance of a well-structured teaching process. The study analyzes the three main stages of an effective lesson: introductory, main, and final stages, highlighting their role in developing students’ linguistic, communicative, and intercultural competencies. Special attention is given to lesson objectives, including communicative, linguistic, and cultural goals, which ensure the comprehensive development of learners. The paper also discusses the significance of interactive teaching methods, visual materials, information and communication technologies (ICT), and group work in creating an engaging language-learning environment. Furthermore, it examines the integration of the four core language skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—and their contribution to communicative competence. The role of formative assessment and reflective practices is also analyzed as an essential component of modern pedagogy. The article concludes that the effective combination of methodological structure, innovative tools, interactive methods, and reflective assessment contributes to the quality of foreign language teaching and supports students’ academic, personal, and social development
