Abstract: This article explores the efficacy of Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) in fostering the speaking skills of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners. It examines key principles of CLT, such as authentic communication, task-based learning, and learner-centered approaches, as mechanisms for enhancing fluency, accuracy, and confidence in oral production. The discussion highlights how these pedagogical strategies create dynamic learning environments that encourage meaningful interaction and reduce speaking anxiety. Ultimately, the paper argues that integrating CLT methodologies is crucial for developing practical and effective communicative competence among language learners.References
